Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to delete or deactivate your Suko account and the personal data associated with it. Suko ("we") is operated by SUKO Labs. If you have any questions, contact us at ajay@suko.social.

Suko offers two options: temporarily deactivating your account, or permanently deleting it.

Option 1: Delete in the app

  1. Open the Suko app.
  2. Go to Settings → Help & Support → Delete Account.
  3. Review the deletion notice and tap Continue.
  4. Confirm to complete your deletion request.

How permanent deletion works

  • Your account is hidden immediately - removed from search, shots, chats, notifications, and friends right away.
  • You are logged out immediately after requesting deletion.
  • Your account enters a 30-day grace period.
  • If you log back in within those 30 days, the deletion request is cancelled and your account is reactivated.
  • If you do nothing, your account and associated data are permanently deleted after 30 days.

Option 2: Deactivate instead (temporary)

If you only need a break, you can deactivate your account instead of deleting it. Deactivation hides your account temporarily; logging back in restores it. You can choose "Need a break instead? Deactivate your account" during the delete flow, or from Settings.

Option 3: Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us at ajay@suko.social from the phone number linked to your account, with the subject line "Delete My Account." We will verify your request and process it.

What data is deleted

When permanent deletion completes, we delete:

  • Your username and profile details
  • Your generated cartoon avatar
  • Your selfie (during beta, selfies are retained for up to 3 months for avatar quality and bug resolution; after public launch, selfies are deleted immediately after avatar generation)
  • Shots you have sent and received
  • Your messages and in-app content
  • Device information, usage data, and log data linked to your account

What data may be retained

Some limited data may be kept only where required by law or for safety and abuse-prevention purposes:

  • Safety and abuse logs: up to 12 months, or longer if required by law
  • Records retained during the 30-day grace period, then permanently removed if the account is not reactivated

Processing time

Permanent deletion completes 30 days after your request, provided you do not log back in during the grace period.
